Gail Weatherspoon Hickman was born in Boynton Beach, Florida, to the late Moses and Nathalie Weatherspoon.

Gail was educated in the Palm Beach County School District and graduated from Carver High School. Continuing her education, she earned a diploma in Early Child Care.

Gail found great joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed sewing and talking on the telephone with her dear friends. Her loving spirit and the cherished memories she created will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

On September 7, 2026, Gail peacefully departed this life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Moses and Nathalie Weatherspoon; two brothers, Everett Bassie and Jerome Weatherspoon; and her sister, Cordila Johnson.

Gail leaves to cherish her precious memory her three children, Bernard Hickman (Kyesha Hickman), Jason Hickman (Regina Hickman), and Latoya Hickman-Shelton (Jeffrey Shelton); two sisters, Brenda Johnson (Leroy Johnson) and Cynthia Herring (David Herring); her goddaughter, Tameka Worthy; her special friends, Robin Hickman and Bridgette Jenkins; her beloved grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

Gail’s life was a beautiful blessing, and her memory will remain a treasured gift to all who loved her. Though she will be deeply missed, her love and legacy will continue to live on through her family and friends.
