Michael Cornell Mitchell II was a beautiful soul with a kind heart and a light that naturally drew people to him. His presence could be felt in a room without him ever needing to say much. There was something special about Michael-something warm, genuine, and unforgettable.

Michael had a caring and compassionate spirit. He had a way of understanding others, supporting them in their time of need, and carrying his own strength with quiet determination. He was smart, intuitive, driven, and full of purpose. When Michael set his mind to something, he pushed forward with focus, discipline, and heart.

Michael took pride in his work and accomplished so much in his life. He began his HVAC career as an Assistant and, through hard work and dedication, grew into a full HVAC Technician. He became skilled, trusted, and valued in his role. His employer described him as a diligent worker, a highly valued employee, and a wonderful young man who was well liked.

Beyond his work, Michael was building a future for himself. He moved into his first apartment in Tampa and continued reaching for the life he wanted. He showed those around him how capable, determined, and full of potential he truly was.

One of the most beautiful parts of Michael’s life was the bond he shared with his younger brother, Sebastien Daniel Rodriguez, who sadly left us too soon on March 23, 2026. They were more than brothers; they were best friends. Their love, loyalty, and connection were something every mother would be proud to witness. Though our hearts ache deeply, we find comfort in believing their bond continues in heaven, where they are reunited in love.

As his mother, there are no words deep enough to explain this pain. A piece of my heart will always belong to both Michael and Sebastien. I will miss their smiles, their laughter, their voices, their presence, and all the moments I thought we would still have. Losing them is a pain no mother should ever have to carry.

Even through this grief, Michael’s love remains. His light continues to live in the hearts of those who knew him. His kindness, his laughter, his strength, his hard work, and the memories we shared will stay with us always. Michael will never be forgotten. He will always be loved, always remembered, and forever carried in our hearts.

Michael leaves behind his loving mother, Sherly Jean; his grandparents, Ruth and Lifaite Dupuy.
